Rack, centralised or site UPS configurations
Depending on your site and equipment availability need UPS configurations and capacities change. Rather than specify a fixed UPS specification, DataBlox offers three configuration choices. For transitional sites you can even bring your rack mounted UPS with you.
DataBlox brings three options for UPS configuration:
- In-Rack - within the base of each equipment rack delivering power protection for each rack circuit
- Centralised- each rack circuit is protected by one large dual-bus UPS held within the DataBlox
- Site - External to the DataBlox provided as a part of the building infrastructure or installed adjacent to DataBlox
Each UPS option provides for differing levels of power protection, management, capacity and cost. At MeshBlox we recognise that each organisation has it's own special needs and preferences for UPS. With DataBlox whether you already have rack mounted UPS that are to be re-used or a high capacity dual-bus N+1 site configuration is needed, there is a plug n' play configuration available. No need for customising the electrical distribution system, DataBlox can deliver any of the three configurations right out of the box.
DataBlox will support all industry standard rack mounted UPS, and the majority of centralised dual-bus UPS based on a equipment rack footprint (600mm or 800mm wide). With industry partners Eaton and other UPS providers APC, Yuasa, Emerson/Liebert etc.
For sites where not all equipment is required to be under UPS then by using the plug n play electrical distribution and In-Rack UPS (or a combination of any of the three options) will deliver a highly flexible solution that can evolve as your equipment and availability needs change.
If you are seeking a complete turnkey solution MeshBlox will provide you with a UPS configuration to meet required availability levels. however if you organisation already has UPS suppliers and/or you wish to reuse your current UPS then we can assist to ensure full integration.
